The Team Simmental Herd was formed in 1988 with the purchase

 of Kirkforthar Natasha - this was shortly followed with the

introduction of further females from the Arkmill and Milnafua Herd

dispersals. At present, we have between 50 and  60 pedigree

Simmental females.

 

We operate a closed herd policy,with all the females being home

bred, and only the occasional stock bull being bought in. 

 

In addition to the entire herd being registered with the Hi Health

Herd Scheme (accredited for BVD and  Johnes) our cattle are all

performance recorded with Breed Plan - this includes scanning

of all our bulls and heifers.
